If you are unable to attend the conference you may send a substitute at no additional charge.
A full refund of registration fees for attendees, less a $50 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing to CEAEConf@ku.edu by October 19, 2023
No refunds will be made after that date.
A $35 fee will be charged for returned checks.
If you fail to cancel by the deadline, and do not attend or send a substitute, you are responsible for payment.

Exhibitor Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend the conference you may send a substitute member of your organization at no additional charge.
A full refund of Exhibitor registration fees, less a $50 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing by October 19, 2023.
No Exhibitor refunds will be granted after October 19, 2023.
A $35 fee will be charged for returned checks.

KU CEAE reserves the right to cancel the 54th Annual Geotechnical Conference and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.

The University of Kansas Memorial Union is located on the KU Lawrence campus, 1301 Jayhawk Blvd., Lawrence, KS 66045. The event will take place on Level 5 of the Union in the Woodruff Auditorium. If you enter from the parking garage, go across the skywalk on the fourth floor of the garage. This will take you to Level 2 of the Union. Stairs and elevator are located in the corridor.

Your registration includes parking in the Mississippi Street Parking Garage, north of the Kansas Union. Access to central campus is restricted from 7:45 a.m.– 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, while school is in session.

Registration and Continental Breakfast will be available at 7:30 a.m. on November 9th. The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. in Woodruff Auditorium, Level 5 of the Kansas Memorial Union. Please allow adequate time for parking, check-in, and to pick up your registration materials.

Participants with regular registration can earn a total of 6.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for attending this conference. Retirees and students are not eligible for PDH certification.

Continental breakfast, morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch are included in the registration fee. If you have dietary restrictions, please provide details in when you register.

We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, it is dependent on the ability of the venue. Please call 785-864-3766 or mark the space on the registration form with restrictions, and a KU CEAE representative will contact you to discuss your needs. To ensure accommodation, please register at least two weeks before the start of the conference.

We anticipate approximately 150 participants of diverse professional backgrounds, including:

Geotechnical, structural, hydraulic and highway engineers
Geologists, technicians and consulting engineers
Utility company and manufacturing facility employees
Students studying related subject matter
Exhibitors from industry-related organizations

A block of rooms has been reserved for conference attendees at the Hampton Inn Lawrence 2300 W 6th St, Lawrence, KS 66049. The special conference rate is $89 plus applicable state and local occupancy taxes.

Business casual, comfortable clothing is appropriate for the conference. Room temperatures can fluctuate so always bring a jacket or sweater—even in warm weather. Dressing in layers is best.
