The Society of Women Engineers
Who We Are: The Society of Women Engineers is a national organization committed to stimulating women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expanding the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrating the value of diversity.
At KU: The University of Kansas SWE Section aims to give students a community for social and educational support as they pursue their engineering degrees. We provide opportunities for mentorship, leadership experience, networking, and professional development while emphasizing outreach to teach younger women about engineering. Some of our events include: monthly general meeting with company representatives, networking events such as Evening with Industry, and attending national and local SWE conferences.
