Emphasized are civil engineering applications of hydrology and fluid mechanics, environmental science, and interdisciplinary studies in groundwater, water quality, and water resources policy and planning.

Environmental Engineering and Water Resource Laboratories

Hydraulic tanks

The Hydraulics Laboratory is located in room 1161 Learned Hall. It is equipped to build and test hydraulic models. It contains two water flumes, a sediment flume and open space for physical model studies. A re-circulating water system with a constant-head tank supplies water to the two water flumes and to project-specific models built in the open space. The water resources group also has a GIS computer laboratory for applications of geographic information systems in water resources.

Hydraulic tank water pipes

The Wet Biochemistry Laboratory is located in  2429 LEEP2.  The laboratory is equipped with a freeze-dryer, centrifuge, filtration apparatus, and a DIDO water supply.
