Biography —
Michael Chun made his mark in both engineering and education. He was the director and chief engineer of the Department of Public Works for the City and County of Honolulu before assuming administrative roles with Kamehameha Schools, the largest independent school system in the U.S. He served as president and headmaster of the 9000-student Kapalama School in Honolulu. The KU School of Engineering awarded him the Distinguished Engineering Service Award in 2010.
