KU Steel Bridge Team

Team Purpose

The KU Steel Bridge Team strives to provide KU engineering students an opportunity to work and compete on a nationally competitive design team. Through strong involvement with the team, students can develop teamwork and communication skills necessary in the workplace, steel fabrication skills, CAD Design experience, structural engineering software experience, finance skills, fundraising and proposal writing skills, labor managing experience, motivational skills, and leadership experience. The dividends of experience with the KU Steel Bridge Team do not come without hard work as the team aims to represent well both the Civil Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department as well as the entire School of Engineering on a national level alongside the nation’s elite engineering schools.
