How soon should I register?

We recommend that you register as soon as possible to secure your place. Early registration helps us order the proper amount of materials and food. The discounted early registration fee is available until April 5, 2023

Can I register at the conference?

Yes, on-site registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Kansas Memorial.

What is the cancellation/substitution/refund policy?

  • We encourage you to send a substitute if you cannot attend.
  • A full refund of registration fees, less a $50 administrative fee, will be available if requested in writing to CEAEConf@ku.edu and received at-least 7 days prior to the event. No refunds will be made after that date.
  • A $30 fee also will be charged for returned checks.

KU CEAE reserves the right to cancel the Annual Environmental Conference and return all fees in the event of insufficient registration. The liability of the University of Kansas is limited to the registration fee. The University of Kansas will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.

Where is the conference located?

The University of Kansas Memorial Union is located on the KU Lawrence campus, 1301 Jayhawk Blvd., Lawrence, KS 66045. The event will take place on Level 5 of the Union. If you enter from the garage, go across the skywalk on the fourth floor of the garage. This will take you to Level 2 of the Union. Stairs and elevator are located in the corridor.

When does the conference start?

Registration and Continental Breakfast will be available at 7:30 a.m. on April 19, 2023. The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. in Woodruff Auditorium, Level 5 of the Kansas Memorial Union. Please allow adequate time for parking and to pick up your registration materials.

Will I receive Professional Development Hours for attending the conference?

The Environmental Engineering Conference offers a total of 6.5 Professional Development Hours. Note that these PDHs can be counted as part of the continuing education requirements of registered professional engineers in related fields. PDHs for treatment plant operators are calculated on a different basis and must be submitted to KDHE which historically has not granted credit for online educational activities. The PDH certificates will be provided electronically within two weeks after the conference ends. Retirees and students will not receive a certificate.

What accommodations are available for persons with disabilities?

We accommodate persons with disabilities. Please call 785-864-1033 or mark the space on the registration form, and a KU CEAE representative will contact you to discuss your needs. We anticipate more than 200 participants of diverse professional backgrounds, including:

  • Consulting engineers
  • Public works directors
  • Plant superintendents and operators
  • Representatives of state and federal agencies
  • Technical support staff
  • Professors and students

How can I get on your mailing list? How can I correct my name and/or address? How can I get off your mailing list?

Contact us by email at CEAEConf@ku.edu. If you have attended this conference in recent years, you should already be on our mailing list.

We cannot make corrections on lists that are obtained from other organizations. If you receive more than one brochure, please pass one along to someone who might be interested in our courses. KU CEAE does not share, sell, or rent its mailing lists.
